There is nothing to be ashamed about when asking for help. We are in desperate times and sometimes all you need is a boost! I am praying for you AloneintheOzarks. I would suggest taking Andrew's advice and look into those agencies. And surround yourself with a community of people to uplift you in these times of need.

it's definately hard to go through times like these as a single, but I would recommend that you work on finding a community. get connected to neighbors, social networks, a church... we weren't all wired for marriage, but all of us are wired for community.

You can check under the "I need help" tab under "Domestic Resources" for a list of all local organizations that offer assitance with food, utilites, rent etc. They do dont descriminate based on marital status.

Where do single persons go for help? What happens when a single person needs food or help paying the rent? Is there a social service agency or something? I am ashamed to be asking these questions as I have always been self sufficient....
